  Aspan & AutoSoftware

Aspan is well known in the world as the easiest and user's friendly program for woodworking machinery. It  is a very powerful program with hundreds of commands and functions and high level internal options.

Realized since 1992 in DOS, it is always been upgraded to the new operating systems and its performances improved , with the develop  of new commands and functions.

We are very proud to affirm that in all these years all various problems found from the users had been fixed using the SERVICE internal procedure that allows errors reproduction  directly in  AutoSoftware, without the need to operate at the user site..

Today  Aspan has 4000 users in the world, together with a number of technical schools that make ASPAN training to their students.

Aspan, to run properly, does not require external programs. But it is possible the link to AutoCAD, the import of DXF files, the import of graphic ASCII files coming from other environment as programs for furniture creation.

Aspan has successively inglobed the other AutoSoftware programs, as TASK and ASTRO, and today it has the ability to run point-to-point machines as well as routers and Morbidelli Planet edge banding machines.

The program has not the limit to make drawings and to generate machining instructions, but executes a feasibility check on the assignments and settings, to ensure the certain execution of the part-program on the machine.

Moreover, only Aspan, amongst the various CAD-CAM available in the market, has a drawing rebuilding function starting from machine instructions: this means the ability to create a geometry and its parameters directy from part-program, in order to generate a drawing graphically modifiable and elaborable in an optimized part-program, for instance to be used by another woodworking machine.

The program is immediately productive, as it does not require special or complex installation  or training courses, due to its extremely easiness, and it is completed with on-line and printable manuals. Moreover, a demo program is available with examples and descriptions on Aspan commands.

The program is composed by a base version and 4 options, not included in the base version and to be bought separately:

  • vectorializer: conversion of bitmap BMP images, acquired from scanner or other, color or black&white, in drawings to be used with the program;

  • nesting: optimized filling up of an area (panel of any shape), or of the machine flat table (big panels having various dimensions), with pieces of any shape (graphic entities, complete drawings, ascii files coming from other environments);

  • door management:  realization of doors using predefined models and user customizable models; models are composed by the front and the back of the door and it is possible to create new models. Of any model available just define the door dimensions to obtain its drawing and all its machinings. If used together with nesting option, it is also possible to optimize the machine flat table (on big panels having various dimensions) with the selected doors and of the desired quantity.

  • cabinet: module to create a cabinet starting from row panels, by creating the drawings and its machinings. The procedure also generates all machine part programs. This module uses predefined and customizable models.
